Eimear’s Wish…

This website is dedicated to the memory of Eimear Smyth, who died on June 27th 2019, aged 25, due to complications from a Donor Stem Cell Transplant. Eimear’s dying wish was for the world to know that she had beaten cancer , and for her family to raise Stem Cell Donor Awareness in Northern Ireland and campaign for age – appropriate care for teenagers and young adults who are diagnosed with life threatening illness.

Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Daniel Baker joined campaigners from Eimear’s Wish at Belfast City Hall today (Tuesday 21 January) to launch the ‘Donuts for Donors’ appeal, Northern Ireland’s first ever Stem Cell Donation Awareness Day.
