Donuts For Donors Day
Donuts for Donors Day (Eimear’s Day) was first held on Friday 31 January 2020. The idea was to use two of Eimear’s favourite things donuts and coffee to help us raise stem cell donor awareness in Northern Ireland.

Local bakery TABOO Donuts supplied over 700 specially made Pink Eimear’s Wish Donuts Free of charge. And Belfast Lord Mayor Danny Baker, help us launch the event by hosting a donut and coffee morning for people who have received stem cell transplants and the families of those who didn’t survive the transplant in the Mayor’s Parlour, in Belfast City Hall, Friday 31 January 2020. The City council added a touching tribute to Eimear by illuminating the City Hall n pink, Eimear’s favourite colour, from dusk to midnight.

The profits raised through the sale of the donuts went to three charities of Eimear’s choice: Anthony Nolan, Action Cancer, and Friends of Cancer Centre.

The event was so successful that the council has agreed to make a yearly event and the last Friday in January will be Eimear’s Day, Donuts for Donors Day.

We are encouraging every family in Northern Ireland to have a Donut and a coffee on the last Friday in January to talk about Stem Cell, Blood and Organ Donation, and raise money for Angles Wishes  Angel Wishes and Eimear’s wish.
